Less searching. More finding.

HONESTY90 is a privacy-first search product designed to help people find useful web results without creating an advertising profile, routing clicks through a tracking layer, or intentionally retaining search history inside the application.

What it is

A search experience with a deliberately different set of incentives.

HONESTY90 starts from a simple product question: what would search look like if the experience were optimized for useful results, understandable ranking, and privacy instead of behavioral profiling and engagement mechanics? The product uses an upstream search provider for candidate results, then applies its own normalization, deduplication, ranking, and presentation layer.

What it does

Search first. Explainability close behind.

01

No account required

People can search without creating a profile, login, or identity layer inside the product.

02

No click-tracking redirect

Results link directly to their destinations instead of forcing every outbound click through a tracking URL.

03

Own ranking layer

Candidate results are normalized, deduplicated, and reranked so the product can make relevance decisions that are explicit and testable.

04

Visible sources

The experience keeps domains and source context prominent rather than burying where information came from.

Why it matters

Privacy can be a product behavior, not just a policy page.

Search is one of the most routine actions on the internet, yet the dominant experience often assumes profiling, retention, advertising, and opaque ranking are part of the bargain. HONESTY90 explores a different model: reduce unnecessary data collection, keep the product understandable, and make ranking choices something that can be benchmarked rather than treated as magic.

The PresenceWise approach

Treat the product promise as an engineering constraint.

PresenceWise is building HONESTY90 so the architecture reinforces the positioning. Search requests go through a focused server-side API, provider results are normalized and reranked, ranking behavior has automated tests, and the public product states clearly that it does not maintain its own full web index. The work also includes search-quality benchmarking, cost and abuse controls, privacy review, browser testing, and launch-readiness checks.

The result

A compact product that proves privacy, ranking, and product voice can work together.

HONESTY90 demonstrates another kind of PresenceWise product work: take a familiar category, identify where the incentives feel wrong, and build a focused alternative with a clear point of view and measurable product behavior.
