Hi, I’m Rick.

I grew up around restaurants — my family was in the business — so I’ve seen firsthand how much work goes into running one. Between managing staff, keeping customers happy, and handling day-to-day operations, there’s already a lot on your plate.

That’s why I started PresenceWise.

After more than 20 years working in technology and operations, I’ve helped organizations of all sizes improve how they use technology, from standing up systems from the ground up at growing companies to leading technology teams at Grubhub and Placer.ai as they scaled. Most recently, I led enterprise technology and operations at Placer.ai during a period of rapid growth, where I focused on building practical systems that actually helped teams work more efficiently.

What I noticed along the way is that many independent restaurant owners and small business owners were spending far too much time fighting with their website, delivery apps, and online presence — often without good support. Most solutions felt either too complicated or too expensive for what they actually needed.
